About Mara Adhbhar
Mara Adhbhar exists to strengthen people and communities by developing resilient, compassionate leadership and making high‑quality coaching accessible to those who need it most.
Leadership is human work. It is shaped by our stories, our wellbeing, our values and the environments we move through. When leaders grow, communities grow. When people feel supported, organisations become stronger. And when coaching is accessible—not a privilege—lives change.
Mara Adhbhar is a Scottish social enterprise built on that belief.
Our Purpose
To develop stronger leaders, stronger people and stronger communities through coaching that is reflective, compassionate and accessible.
Every commercial programme we deliver helps fund coaching for people who face barriers to accessing support—unpaid carers, community leaders, small charities and others who hold their communities together. Leadership development becomes a way of reinvesting in the social fabric of Scotland.
Our Professional Standards
All coaching and leadership development at Mara Adhbhar is delivered by highly skilled, professionally qualified practitioners with advanced training in executive, leadership and wellbeing coaching. Our coaches maintain ongoing professional supervision, adhere to global ethical frameworks including EMCC Global and the Association for Coaching (AC), and bring substantial, evidenced hours of practice supporting leaders, teams and communities.
This commitment to depth, rigour and reflective practice ensures every client receives coaching that is safe, expertly facilitated and grounded in the highest professional standards. Read more in our Quality & Professional Standards section.
What We Do
Our commercial work focuses on leadership, organisational development and neuroinclusive practice:
• Executive coaching
• Leadership coaching
• Team development
• Organisational consultancy
• Neuroinclusive leadership coaching
These programmes support leaders to navigate complexity, build resilience, strengthen relationships and lead with emotional intelligence.
We also offer acutherapy and NADA‑informed wellbeing support through Anchor Points, including our acutherapy seed kits available in the Acutherapy Shop.
Our Social Impact
Coaching should not be reserved for those with budgets, titles or influence. Our social mission is to make coaching accessible to people who need it most but can least afford it.
Through our trading income, we fund:
• Wellbeing coaching for community members
• Coaching for leaders of small charities
• Group coaching for community organisations
• Support for people facing barriers to accessing coaching
This is coaching as social infrastructure, strengthening the people who strengthen their communities.
